Today’s trip to the Memorial Hall was such a heartbreaking experience. The Nanjing Massacre, also known as the Rape of Nanking, was a mass murder, genocide and war rape that occurred during the six-week period following the Japanese capture of Nanjing. The exhibits were extremely detailed and informative on what took place, artifacts from back then, input from survivors, etc. I was not expecting this at all.
